
Venta Moncalvillo's staff appreciates wines which is also a passion. Working in this field and learn more about it made our restaurant and its sommelier, Carlos Echapresto, gain some important awards in this area of knowledge:
- Spain Award of Food in 2006. Given by the Ministry of Agriculture as “the best at wine treatment”. The Wine list of Venta Moncalvillo achieved a special comment in this award.
- Best sommelier in La Rioja 2008, given by Regulator Council of La Rioja’s Designation of Origin.
- Finalist in the National Award as Best Sommelier in Spain of 2013.
- Expert trainer in sherry wines, given by Regulator Council of Sherry Wines, Xeres Sherry and Manzanilla of Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
- Recommendations in the main gastronomic guides as Michelin Guide and Repsol Guide.
